À leurs côtés, c’est toute la gamme des sujets « citoyens » qui s’épanouit dans les magazines du même nom.

From 2018 to 2021, radio atelier was the program of cultural workers Tiohtià:ke (Montreal) on CIBL 101.5 FM. We produced 91 programs, which you can still listen to on the magazine’s website.
Mandate: The program’s primary aim was to be relevant to its community. Created by cultural workers, it attempted to define the notion of art research. Theoretical, historical and critical, its transdisciplinary team proposed a multi-faceted discourse on current art. It was both a meeting place and a space for experimental dissemination.
Segment description
Interviews: Each week, we welcomed an artist to talk about recent projects. Between heterogeneous references and the pleasure of the material, we challenged the discourse on art to open up its possibilities.
Creation: We occasionally invited artists and curators to translate their practices into the radio medium. They were given carte blanche to conceive an original intervention on our airwaves.
Audio art: Specially selected by artists, composers and performers, the music broadcast was an opportunity to present the state of research and introduce us to experimental and contemporary sounds.
Chronicles: Several columns a week offered a cartography of distribution networks, commentary on contemporary issues and critical perspectives.
